Family Business Since 1968..

K W Bell Group’s story began in 1968 when Keith Bell, a self-employed bricklayer with a strong work ethic and a clear vision, laid the foundations of what would become one of the South West’s most successful family-owned construction businesses.

In 1993, Keith’s ambition to diversify led to the creation of Bell Contracting – the group’s civil engineering and groundworks arm. What began as a team of six has grown under the leadership of his son, Peter Bell, into a regional powerhouse, employing over 600 people and managing up to 30 contracts at any given time.

Keith Bell remained closely involved with the company throughout his life until his passing in 2024. His legacy lives on through the family – with his son Peter, granddaughter Nicola, and nephew Jason – and through the enduring values of family, community, and craftsmanship that continue to guide the business today.
